The Thompson Wedding

Inspired by green foliage, Paige & Peter’s wedding was the epitome of classic & timeless! Our team had the honor of designing the first ever wedding at The Thompson hotel in Savannah, Georgia during October 2021. The bride envisioned lots of hanging foliage and our team delivered!

Fourteen floral chandeliers were hung above each long, estate table and were dripping with a large variety of leaves, branches and vines to create a lush and textured look. The foliage included palmetto palms, magnolia branches, smilax, coontie fern, sword fern, salal, pittosporum and Italian ruscus with beautiful accents of white roses and spray roses.

The same blends of greenery carried onto the table tops with a greater abundance of white flowers. Large floral compositions using the same elements were designed on tall, elevated stands for the round dining tables. An additional floral piece was installed and floated over the dance floor, providing a very romantic feel.

The wedding party’s table was covered with clusters of white floral arrangements thoughtfully placed around varying sizes and shapes of clear, glass vessels that held white pillar candles and matching floating candles. White tapered candles, encased in sparkling glass chimneys along with clear glass votives completed this full, lavish table scape.

Textured, white linens from Party Tables, Inc. and natural cane back chairs from Amazing Event Rentals provided a fresh, sophisticated coastal vibe to the overall look of the tent that overlooked the banks of the Savannah River – absolutely stunning!

The Bold team custom built wood frames for the backdrops across the stage and frames for behind the bars where they stood in front of 10-foot-tall hedges. Everything came together to create such a timeless, unforgettable day for Paige and Peter in Savannah!
