Bold had the opportunity to cater Megan (Roth) Lore’s wedding in March 2022 at the historic Swan House in Buckhead, Atlanta. Megan is one of Atlanta’s sweethearts and a well-known influencer in the city, @meganann on Instagram. Formerly known as @hungrygirlsdoitbetter, she would use her platform to highlight the latest and greatest bars and restaurants in Atlanta. When she asked around the city for recommended caterers, she was told, “Bold” every time – our team was excited to live up to this foodie’s expectations on her wedding day!

During cocktail hour, passed hors d’oeuvres included stuffed cherry tomatoes with herbed boursin cheese, celery leaf and a Bloody Mary shot, Vietnamese rice paper rolls with chicken, scallion, carrot, ginger and soy tamarind, Fried Goat Cheese drizzled with honey and cracked black pepper and bacon wrapped dates with manchego cheese. The bride and groom love sushi, so the team provided a delicious and beautiful sushi bar that consisted of their favorite rolls: spicy tuna, California rolls with jumbo lump crab, crunchy California rolls, Crunchy Dragon crab rolls, smoked salmon and cream cheese rolls, spicy salmon, smoked eel roll, avocado rolls, shiitake mushroom, and veggie rolls served with wasabi, pickled ginger ponzu, steamed edamame and sweet soy sauce.

Guests were then served a plated dinner that started with a kale salad with candied pralines, Sweet Grass’s local bleu cheese, Granny Smith apples and lemon vinaigrette. The next course was a fun surprise for their guests, the “Caviar Course” – a roasted baby fingerling potato stuffed with caviar and truffled egg salad. For the entrée, the bride and groom wanted a dual entrée of seared snapper with Cipollini onion and roasted tomato compote with warm basil vinaigrette alongside port wine braised short ribs on top of wild mushroom risotto with white wine, fontina cheese and roasted asparagus. They also offered a cauliflower steak as the vegetarian and vegan option topped with Cipollini onion and tomato compote, roasted fregola, rainbow carrots, grilled Portobello mushroom and balsamic reduction.
