Lauren & Alex’s Beautiful Backyard Wedding

For Lauren and Alex’s fall nuptials, Bold Catering and Design created a dreamy, romantic reception at a lovely Dunwoody home filled with romance, charm and personality that showcased all that makes Bold events so special.

To transform this private home into an even grander venue, Bold Design decked out the backyard with garden roses, ranunculus and peonies in romantic shades of ivory, dusty rose, peach and caramel with accents of pale blue. Every space received a decorative touch, from a lush, impressive arrangement over the bar to full vessels atop sleek white hand sanitizer stations. Under a tent built on a clay tennis court, fairy lights twinkled over a head table full of florals and soft gold accents like sweet honeybee figurines. In the front yard, the bridal party posed for photos in front of an asymmetrical, romantic arch of greenery and florals meant to look like it was growing right out of the ground – a fairytale scene indeed.

For the dinner menu, Bold Catering created courses that incorporated the couple’s memories and personality – with delicious results. Cocktail hour featured an inventive “Cuban Cigar” passed app –Cuban sandwich ingredients wrapped in a grape leaf to look like a cigar with crushed sesame seed “ash”. With the wedding day coinciding with the annual Masters golf tournament, we included sips and bites to reflect the links-loving couple: A Transfusion cocktail with vodka, ginger ale & grape juice and late night pimento cheese and BBQ pork sandwiches.

Following the wedding, our team was touched to receive a note from the mother-of-the-bride thanking us for doing all the heavy lifting so they could treasure their family’s most special moment.
