As Atlanta’s most iconic catering & design company, Bold loves getting to work at the city’s most iconic venues, and this dreamy wedding atop the Tower Terrace at Ponce City Market fits the bill. We created an outdoor wedding ceremony and reception filled with stunning florals and delicious food for an evening to remember. (This wedding even won us the 2019 Catersource ACE Award for Best Events!)

Senior Designer Steve Bales warmed up this raw rooftop space with contrasting textures and complementing colors. Elements of wood and metals including gold, brushed iron and steel were bridged by colorful florals, greenery and linen as well as plush velvet and tufted soft seating. For the ceremony, Steve was tasked with creating a backdrop that did not impede the city view. Thus, he created the 24′ long “floral/planter” box as the backdrop to the ceremony and then also doubled as the backdrop to the lounge setting during the reception – a great example of Bold’s event ingenuity.

Fall wedding florals are our absolute favorite, and this organic, warm palette of colors included blue delphiniums, cinnamon spice roses, velvet queen sunflowers, bronze dahlias and much more. These were incorporated into the bride’s bouquet, wrapped with trailing ribbon; brimming over in the decorative planter ceremony backdrop; pinned to the groomsmen’s lapels; and in a reception-exclusive flower crown that the bride wore to dance the night away.

Bold Catering’s cocktail hour featured of-the-moment canapes like ahi tuna tacos and fried goat cheese drizzled with honey and the oysters XO mobile shucking station, where 2 attendants shucked and dressed oysters fresh for guests. It’s a truly special – and Instagrammable – catering moment. For dinner, the mason jar stack station served a superfood packed quinoa salad with cedar plank salmon, sliced kale & sweet potatoes, alongside our Taste of the South station of tried-and-true Southern classics like fried chicken and three cheese mac & cheese. We also loved the small wedding cake for the couple to cut ceremoniously: Adorned with flowers, ribbon and a topper that read “Come What May,” this cake was a nod to a reception tradition alongside other craveable sweets served at chef-attended ice cream sandwich stations and our petite dessert display. What a sweet ending to a truly stunning day!
