When your company is named as one of Forbes’ Most Innovative Growth Companies, you have to raise the bar on your corporate events – that’s why XERO chose Bold Catering & Design to elevate XEROCON 2018’s epic steampunk-themed wrap party at the Foundry at Puritan Mill.

As the creators of accounting software that’s simple, smart and occasionally magical, XERO wanted their employee attendees to feel a fantastical sense of wonder and fun, and Designer Steve Bales delivered. After accepting an aqua-tinged glass of champagne from a gloved hand at our signature butler wall, guests took in design details that called to mind a turn of the century library. Craftsmen from Bold’s workshop created an epic focal point: A functional wooden structure covered in cogs and equipped with a slide for whimsical soft pretzel delivery.

And there were more creative treats where those came from: Bold Catering served the pretzels with silver leaf foiled cheese sauce, evoking an alchemist’s workshop. The mad scientist vibe continued with Chef Todd’s sci-fi-esque soup station, a set of Japanese pour over siphons reconfigured to serve fragrant pho. We piled the cheese and charcuterie display high and stacked our traveling stainless steel wall with sugar smacked bacon snacks and braised beef short rib mini tacos.

And our employees are always down for a good theme party: Enthusiastic and engaging event chefs and servers put on their aviator goggles and made sure the XEROCON guests ate well, drank well and partied like its 1899.
